I'M SO BEHIND . . .

Well, here's what we've been up to the last few weeks, very briefly. We spent Christmas in Oregon with most of the Bailey family. It was a great time and Lucy couldn't get enough of playing with the cousins. (They are actually my cousins, but several of them are very close to her age and some even younger! Crazy, I know.) It was great to spend Christmas at my family in Klamath- it's been years, probably ten!

Right after Christmas on the 27th, Nathan and Alisa were married. It was a great day. The temple was beautiful and there were lots of friends and family that were able to be there for them. Then they had a lovely reception in Klamath with dinner and dancing! We are so excited that Nathan and Alisa will be living close to us while they are finishing up school.

The rest of the break we enjoyed some tubing and sledding, a little ice skating, and a few OIT basketball games. It was Lucy's first time tubing and skating and she loved it!! The tubing hill was fairly steep, but that didn't stop her, she just wanted more. As she would go down she would let out this high pitched squeal til she reached the bottom. It was hilarious! And I don't know how she enjoyed the skating because she was just drug around and around the rink with one person holding each hand. But by the end she could kind of scoot around on her own!

That's right, Kate is six-months old today. I can't believe it. It sure doesn't seem like it's been that long already. She is such a smiley little girl, as long as she is being held anyway! She loves Lucy and can't take her eyes off her when she is around. They are starting to interact more and more and no one can get Kate to laugh like Lucy can!

The Patch

I took Lucy to the eye doctor again yesterday. And she needs to wear a patch--surprise, surprise. Lately when she focuses on things up close her right eye crosses inward and it kept getting worse and worse. The first time I took her in the eye doctor said that she would grow out of it. No such luck, especially since I had the same thing when I was about her age. She is suppose to keep a patch over her good eye for four hours everyday, for a few weeks and then go back in and see how she's doing at that point. Then maybe they'll see about getting her in glasses. It has been a bit of a struggle already getting her to think the patch is 'cool'. I remember it being miserable. It's no fun to not be able to see good. Here are a few pictures . . .

Today, with her doll and matching patches with Elmo stickers. My mom was so good about trying to get me to wear my patch. She made patches for all my dolls, so we tried that with Lucy today. I still had to about sit on her and pin her arms down to get it on her.

Troublemaker

You thought I was talking about Lucy, our two-year old, didn't you. But no, not this time, just our lovely dog- Judd. Anyway, he just can't seem to stay home. He just loves to roam around from one house to the next. And it's super hard, because we live out on the farm and have no 'fenced in yard'. He can't be normal like all the other dogs and just stick around. Oh, and he chews. Yes, but usually only things that you really don't want him to. Like 2 pairs of lovely high heels, Lucy's favorite crocs, Nathan's shifter thing in his car. Oh yeah, be sure to make sure your car doors are all shut if you come to our house. That being said, anyone looking for a new dog? He's an 8-month old german wirehair pointer, very cute, loves people, runs away often, and chews everything . . .

Family Fall Photos

My brother, Brian, was kind enough to take some pictures for us earlier this fall while we were in Oregon. He did a great job, especially considering we had two crying girls most of the time. But what do you expect?! We had fun anyway! We had a great Thanksgiving in Klamath and can't wait to go back for Christmas! =)

Poor Baby Kate Kate

Yesterday Kate had to go in to get her tear ducts probed. Since she was born her tear ducts have been blocked. Which means they get infected very easily and are green and goopy a lot of the time. No fun! We've tried all kinds of things and nothing has worked as of yet. She did very well, considering what they did to the poor girl. They basically just went in with a wire and pushed it through the ducts on both eyes. No black eyes though, just a few pink tears! Let's hope this works! This picture was taken last night.
