Our Big Girl is 4!

Lucy had her 4th birthday a couple weeks ago on the 15th! I can't believe she can be that old. We had lots of fun with birthday parties and Grandma & Grandpa Bailey even visited for a couple days! Lucy is so much fun in our home. She is a great big sister to Kate and tries to make sure she is always happy. She loves to draw and do anything crafty. The past few months she has perfected writing her alphabet and is always writing us notes and asking how to spell things. Lucy loves books. Daily, I find her and Kate next to each other on the couch with a pile of books, reading. She also loves to be outside, especially on the farm. She loves to ride Howdy and play with Sammy. For Lucy's birthday breakfast she wanted pink pancakes! Nick even went as far as to make a "4" and "L U C Y".

One of the only things she wanted to do on her big day was ride Howdy. Here she is with Kate and cousins!

She wanted a princess castle cake, this is as close as I could get. We had to hurry and snap a pic before it fell over!

This year Lucy had a party with a few friends. They had so much fun and were so cute! They decorated their princess crowns and wore them proudly . . .

Opening presents with Grandma and Grandpa "from the Oregon" in curlers! She got a fishing pole! Lately she's been talking about how she wants Grandpa to teach her how to fish. And I must say she's got quite the cast! And so . . . we had to ban casting practice to outside only.

I saw this on a friends blog and thought it was cute . . . I asked Lucy these questions and it was funny to hear her responses.

1. How old are you? “4”
Your Mom? “I don’t know, I don’t ‘member how many you are.”
Your Dad? “I don’t know, how old is he?”
Kate? “1”

2. What makes you happy? "Toys and elephants. I like watching movies and reading books and writing my ABC’s and learning to write lowercases."

3. What makes you sad? "Kate hitting me."

4. When do you laugh? "When I splash in the tub."

5. When do you cry? "When Kate hits me and she splashes in my eyes and nose too."

6. What is something mom always says to you? "Thank you for cleaning up."
and your Dad? "Thanks for helping Mommy with the dishes."

7. What is your favorite thing to eat? “Apples, apple juice, and jello.”

8. What is your favorite thing to do? "Play games and color and sing songs."

9. What is your favorite TV show? "Elmo’s World"

10. What is your favorite story in the scriptures? "The Jesus one."

11. What are you really good at? "Putting sacks in the garbage and putting makeup on."

12. What are you not very good at? "Doing hula hoops on the Wii fit."

13. What does your mom do for her job? "Doing coupons and going to the store."

14. Who is your best friend? "Janelle and Grandma at the Oregon."

15. What's your favorite primary song? “Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam.”

16. What do you like to do with Kate? "Play with toys and I like Kate to lay by me in bed."

17. What do you and your mom do together? "Do the blog and go to the library."
Dad?? “He helps me ride Howdy."

18. Where is your favorite place to go? "Going to Old Navy, Fred Meyer, and WalMart. Oh, and the playground and to the Oregon."

19. How do you know Mommy and Daddy love you? "Because you give me hugs and kisses."

Lucy always makes us laugh. She's such a cute girl. We love you, Lucy!

Saturday's Adventures

Can you guess where we visited last Saturday?

You guessed it . . . The Alligator Farm! And it was AWESOME! Way cooler than anything I saw in Florida. And right here in Idaho.

They were all fenced in, and yet so close! They were huge, I'm sure several at least 10-12 feet. There is also a fish farm . . . the owner got alligators to eat what is left over after the fish are processed for sale. And the alligators are also raised for their meat. I'm pretty sure that the water is a hot spring too, I don't know how else gators could survive in Idaho weather.

We had a BLAST, and the best part? It's free.

Next we went and fed the calves at a friends dairy. The girls loved it, of course. And Nick totally enjoyed the fresh smells of a farm, he's been missing that. ;)
