CALIFORNIA!

We went down to San Diego the end of June (I know, I'm way behind) for a family reunion . . . and Disneyland too! We had a blast. You may want to scroll quickly . . . there's tons of pictures.

We spent a day at Disneyland and the girls were so excited we had talked about it for months. They had lots of fun, Lucy went on every ride except Indiana Jones and Space Mountain!

There wasn't anyone at Disneyland that day more excited to see Mickey and Minnie than Kate . . . until she saw them. Now all she says when we mention Disneyland is "Goofy sad". I tried to get her in the picture too, but she screamed and goofy covered his eyes with his ears . . . Goofy sad.

The family reunion was for my Mom's side of the family. It was so great to see everyone! We spent a few days in San Diego and then went to San Clemente and camped on the beach!

Lucy loves the water, as long as she has a floaty thing or life jacket. I guess that's a good thing for now. She seriously sat in this tube for like four hours. She didn't even get out for dinner.

We went to the Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center. It was very neat. My dad actually served his mission in San Diego. We were able to go to one area he served in.

It's About Time

It's been WAY too long since I've been on here! Life is good. We are enjoying our summer break. We planted an enormous garden (again). I told myself that I wouldn't do that again after last year. Hmmm. Hopefully it will warm up soon, so it will get growing! Nick is glad to have a break from school and is now busy breaking horses. He is farming a bit too, for both our Dad's. So, basically we don't see much of Nick until the daylight is gone. Between the farming and breaking horses, he keeps pretty busy. But, we'll have a break soon, as the next three weeks are filled with family reunions. We'll see how much we can make it to. And Disneyland is coming up too! The girls are so excited- it's all they can talk about. They will be so fun this time! I think I'm just as excited, if not more, than the girls. Hopefully it's nice and warm there, since summer hasn't started here yet. As I'm typing the girls are getting on their hats and gloves, so they can go out and play. Seriously?! I have lots to blog about, (we've celebrated 3 birthdays since I last posted), we'll see how far I can get!

We were lucky enough last weekend to have Dad, Nathan, and Brian stop by on their way to Canada to go fishing. Grandpa even took Lucy fishing with her pole they gave her for her birthday! She was so excited! And out of five of us fishing, Lucy was they only one to catch a fish!

A New Little Friend

Nick brought home a kitten last week for the girls. It will be a barn cat to keep the mice down. It was alone in a hay stack, the mother had hauled the others off, so Nick brought it home. It's still pretty tiny so we have been bottle feeding it. It is pretty cute and the girls love it.

My Mother's Day . . .

I am so thankful to be a mother and to have the two CUTEST little girls ever. We had a fun day relaxing and playing with the girls. They are at such fun ages . . . I wish I could keep them from growing up so fast! Here's a little bit of our day . . .

I LOVE BEING A MOM! I am so thankful for my own Mom, who taught me everything I know. I couldn't have had a better example in my life. She truly is AMAZING. Love you, Mom.

It's Been Awhile . . .

Life seems to go too quickly around here. I'm not old enough for this. Lucy gave her first prayer in Primary sharing time last Sunday. Seriously!? I feel like I was just there not long ago. She did great, by the way. She just marched right up there and said it. So sweet. And, my baby is almost two! Where did the time go?

Well, I have lots to catch up on. I still haven't gotten Easter pics up with the girls in their dresses. I guess I do have an excuse . . . our computer crashed a few weeks ago and we just got it back with a new motherboard and operating system. Whatever that means. All I know is that it came back with nothing on it. Darn it! Thank goodness I had most things on my external HD.

Lucy and Kate are growing up so fast. They are my little buddies. Right now I can hear them running around and squealing and laughing . . . so cute! They keep me busy, but I love it. Nick is almost done with his first year of Nursing school . . . we're halfway there!! Life is good. I'll post more soon- hopefully something a bit more exciting.
