Nathan & Alisa are Engaged!

This post is a little past due, but can I just say I am so excited for a sister-in-law! My little brother is getting married- crazy. We are all very excited for both of them and can't wait for Alisa to be a part of the fam. Lucy is pretty much obsessed with Alisa and is always talking about her. This summer, when we were in Klamath, Alisa spent many hours jumping on the trampoline with Lucy . . . when no one else would. The first thing Lucy would say when she'd see Alisa was "Let's go jump" and take her by the finger to the tramp. And Alisa went everytime. She is so sweet! They are planning to get married in December in the Medford temple. We couldn't be more happy for them!

Keepin' the road HOT!

In the month of September it seemed like we were always going, going, going. First it was back and forth to Blackfoot for the horse show there. Then we were home for a couple days and then headed to Salt Lake for a horse pull down there. We had fun seeing Benson's and Harrison's. Then it was home again for a day and off to Deer Lodge, Montana. Yes, we are CRAZY . . . but it's not over yet. We spent the weekend there for another show. Then we returned home for a few days and left the next weekend for Sandpoint. We had fun at the show there and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. And yes, we returned home once again only to leave the next week for Oregon. Nick pulled horses in Medford last weekend and will again tomorrow. I guess he's got the "bug" or something. For those of you who don't know what a horse pull is I will post a picture. We have been having tons of fun here with Grandma and Grandpa Bailey and Uncle Brian.

Kate has just started to sleep through the night! That is always an exciting thing. She is doing great and growing, growing, growing! She's starting to coo and smile a lot more and is lots of fun.

GRADUATION

Hooray! I finally officially graduated. I received my diploma in the mail a couple of days ago. What a great feeling! I’m so glad to have that behind me. Somehow it all worked out- I finished my internship ten days before Kate was born. I received my bachelor’s degree in accounting. So exciting! Here’s a few pics with me and the girls . . .

And since Nick graduated before I started this whole blog thing he didn’t get a post. But CONGRATULATIONS to Nick! Way to go! He received his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science last December.

Fun in the Garden!

We have had so much fun the last few weeks being able to eat from the garden! We planted the garden hoping that something would grow and it has actually turned out really good! Lucy loves to go out and help me pull weeds and pick "salad". She's really grown up a lot since Kate was born and is a pretty big help.

I am beginning to wonder about the peas though. Are they really worth it? I mean it's great to be able to go out to the garden and have a few peas from the pod, but- I shelled peas for over half an hour the other night and ended up with this . . .

Roommate Reunion!

This past weekend we were in Utah while Nick was shoeing horses. Poor Nick was sweating away in the 100 degree heat, but the rest of us had fun. We got to see family, go to the zoo, and have a get together with old roommates.

Fun in Oregon!

Lucy, Kate, and I have been in Oregon for almost three weeks now. We came for a family reunion at the coast and redwoods and had lots of fun! It was so great to see everyone. Nick went home a week ago and is coming back this weekend to drive horses for someone at a show near Bend and will take us home. Lucy has been having a great time with Grandma & Grandpa Bailey. Kate is a great baby and has already grown tons. Here are LOTS of pictures of our trip . . .
