Welcome Little Kate!

We are so excited to introduce Kate Elise Barney! She was born yesterday, June 10th at 9:42 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 20 inches long. We are very happy to have her here! Lucy is very excited to be Mommy's big helper, she has been waiting to see her "Baby Sister" (as she calls her) for quite some time. She seems tiny . . . we just forget how small they really are. She likes to eat and sleep and check out her surroundings now and again. We are so happy to have her here with us. Grandma Bailey arrived late last night, she is so excited to help out with Lucy and the new baby. We'll update with more pictures soon!

Lucy has been very busy the last few weeks, just ask Nick. They have had so much fun together livin' the farm life. Lucy loves to just be outside following her dad around.

Yes, that's right- we woke up this morning to more snow on the ground! You shouldn't have to scrape your windshield in May! Boone family we are very much missing you guys and Florida- this time last year we were just arriving in Wildwood! We wish we were there now too! We sure miss you guys! We hope it warms up here soon. Well, it's been a very long time since our last post. But since then I was able to finish up the semester for school, Nick's sister got married, we moved back to Lewisville, I started my internship, we went to Utah for Becky's wedding reception, and we are still trying to put our house together! It's been a busy month for us. I am so glad to be done with classes and hope this next month of my internship will pass quickly!

We had quite the experience trying to get some pictures taken of Lucy last weekend. She was fine until the creepy camera guy started talking to her. Then she kind of lost it. But they still turned out cute!

Busy Times . . . Can't Wait for Summer!!!

Well, school has somehow taken over my life for the last couple of weeks. Things have been very busy. I will be done with all of my coursework on April 10th, YAY!! Then an internship and I'll be graduated in July! We can't wait! Only three more months until Baby Girl #2 is here, so that is also very exciting! Lucy turns two on Saturday, and is so excited to have a "Birt-day"! She is so funny, and is always making us laugh! She is talking more and more now and lets you know exactly what she wants! Hopefully our next post will be a bit more exciting- but here's for now . . .

Weekend Visit from Grandma, Grandpa & Brian!

Grandma & Grandpa & Brian were able to come for a few days and visit the other half of the family in Rexburg! We had so much fun. We went to Big Jud's for a few of their HUGE, famous hamburgers to celebrate Janelle's birthday! Mom had a cake baked for when we got home. . . but everyone was way too full to have any!

The other day I was noticing how quiet it was and decided that I had better check and see just what Lucy was doing. Before I had the chance, she came in with a huge smile saying "hap-py". I knew that something was up. I went into the kitchen and found this. She had found a pack of gum and managed to unwrap every piece and eat it!

It's a . . . GIRL!!

Yep, that's right . . . we are having another girl! We are all so excited! Nick is already feeling really outnumbered. The due date is around the 15th of June. Lucy is very ready for another sibling. She loves to play with other kids any chance she gets. If anyone has any name suggestions they are very welcome! Here are a few recent pictures of Lucy too.
